WYBC-FM in the late 60's was the first progressive rock station in Connecticut.

We also had an AM station operating closed circuit to the Yale campus, which has since gone silent. A number of alumni began talking at the Class of '69 25th Reunion about ways to restore a station aimed at student listeners. Thanks to their efforts, the new WYBC-AM 1340 is now on the air -- not closed-circuit!
