Long Council meetings have become a hot topic lately. That's an issue I've been working on for years... please see the "City Council Meetings" article I wrote for a local paper over three years ago (link at lower right).

Santa Monica is a diverse community. We must effectively communicate with each other, coming first to understanding, so perhaps we can come to agreement.

Active neighborhood groups, which I strongly support, are one part of the solution. I also will continue to encourage the use of new technologies (like this website) to bring us together.
